Introduction:

The official Surf Boat Rowers Convention – Golden Blade Awards 2019

Traditionally held on the Monday after the Aussies. To formally honour 2019 Surf Boat Champions of Australia – Gold Medal Winners – all 8 Divisions:

Open Men & Women – Reserve Grade Men & Women – Under 23 Men & Women – Under 19 Men & Women.

Gold Medal Winning Surf Boats – featured and suspended in the ceiling of the convention centre.

This year is the year – we are going to honour the winners  – acknowledge the camaraderie – celebrate the season and experience the affinity of the Surf Boat Crews of Australia and New Zealand 2019.

Dress Code: 

Casual Elegant – strictly no fancy dress – no t-shirts no shorts no thongs. 

PHOTOGRAPHS 

On arrival our event photographer will be available to capture all guests in front of the media wall. Photos will be posted on the Surf Rowing Australia website photo gallery.

HOSPITAILTY

The Golden Blade Awards Luncheon – an ideal opportunity to invite key sponsors, partners, family and club members who support the Surf Rowing Community.

Club / Crew Sponsors: – In support of individual sponsors  – Surf Rowing Australia will proudly display / feature on the BIG screen a dedicated slide of all club / crew sponsors if provided no later then Friday March 15 (deadline for production)

Food & Beverage Pack 

We have the ever-popular table feasting experience, includes meat dishes, lamb/chicken/ beef – vegetables/salads/greens – selection cheese/crackers/fruit.

Our 4 hour beverage (11.45am – 3.45pm) includes -Light and Heavy Beer / Red and White wine / Soft Drinks – Juice

Entertainment 

TV Screen: Big 25m LED screen – featuring non stop surf boat racing – action packed drone footage and surf boat highlights.

Comedian: Steve Allison – set to entertain with the most outrageous humour and quick wit.  Stand out performances in comedy clubs around Australia.

Band – Savvy :  Live on stage – 6 piece group of accomplished musicians led by vocalist Daryl Murphy – his performances are full of energy and fun. World-renowned credits include The Veronicas – Powderfinger  – Keith Urban

AUSSIE GOLD PASS:

All  2019 Australian Surf Boat Champions (8 Divisions) will be invited to our “VIP GOLD ROOM” – pre-lunch drinks (from 11am) – a private and exclusive meet & greet with SLSA / ASRL / Officials and Sponsors.

Entry Wrist Bands:

No entry without official Golden Blade Awards 2019 wristbands. Distributed from March 11 – allocated table number listed in wrist band

Note: Wristbands must be worn at all times, staff have authority to advise security to remove uninvited guests. STRICTLY NO WALK INS – Under 18 alcohol free wristbands will be provided – different identification colour

All guests should arrive not later then by 12.15pm. On stage presentations start 12.30pm SHARP

MISCONDUCT

SLSA Aussies 2019 – Final Carnival Circular

Misconduct before, during and after the Aussie Championships will not be tolerated. Offending members risk disciplinary action against themselves and their clubs.
